Have you been to Kaithleen's? It is a new-to-me store that I found while looking at Frost. I really thought this original mesh romper was cute so I went to the main store last night. There were three stores full of really great original mesh clothing. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. You will be seeing more of this store on my blog in 2014!

I finally picked a new formal for New Years from Sascha's Design. It was really hard because there are so many beautiful ones with mesh and flexi additions to be found lately (and that makes me happy!). I can't do this dress justice in pictures because in the game it sparkles every time I move. I will be glittery and sparkly for New Years and that seems about perfect to me!

This gown is a mesh gown and you could wear just the mesh piece by itself and it would be gorgeous, but it also comes with 4 different flexi skirt variations that you can add to the dress for maximum swooshiness! I feel like a princess and I truly adore this dress. Have a fun New Years Eve!

New Years is right around the corner and that means its time for a new formal. My favorite kinds of formal dresses are the kind that are made with a full mesh base with flexi skirts attached. Not just a mesh top, but a full mesh dress that could be worn separately if you wanted. The mesh formals by themselves are beautiful in still pictures, but when I am out on the dance floor in the arms of my man the added swishyness of flexi is a personal preference. My new formal above is a new release from Sassy! The Radiance gown is a mesh base dress that can be worn by itself if you prefer or it has beautiful flexi that you can attach for dancing. It is available in black, gold, green, silver, pink, and red as well as a free group gift version in red and green.

My outfit today is from Ducknipple. The Snuggle dress and Meine boots are both new mesh releases. Ducknipple is a store that releases high quality original textured, original HUD texture change, template mesh at reasonable prices. My requirements for buying it are that the textures must be high quality hand drawn with baked shading at a resonable price and Ducknipple meets and excedes those for me. The fact that their items come with a great texture change HUD, which really makes them many items in one, just sweetens the deal at this store. Before mesh came to second life, Ducknipple's owner, beanster Potato, always drew beautiful textured hand drawn system layer clothing and now she has brought her texture ability to mesh.

Ducknipple has a great variety of shoes and boots available, many of which can be unisex. These boots are resize and I think they would look great on a guy or a girl and are easily adjusted. I am showing them to you in this colorful teal, but you can see all of the 14 colors available in the HUD in the top left of my picture.

Last, I wanted to comment on my new eyelashes. I got them as a Christmas pressie and I just LOVE them. They are from Mon Cheri, I blogged about that store joining with Sassy and three other stores in a fashion joined denizen, The Burbs, about a week ago. Mon Cheri is on the wishlist system and so I was able to add these great eyelashes to my wishlist. These eyelashes are original mesh and come with a HUD so you can change them into 3 styles and pretty much unlimited colors. I am wearing style 2 in the black glitter color. I LOVE the glitter options available in these eyelashes. If you are looking for new eyelashes, try these "Falsies" from Mon Cheri.

The designers of Second Life always seem to go all out for Christmas and this year was no different. Last year I went advent calendar crazy and found myself religiously going to about 50 places and spending about two hours a day getting items. Many of which I have probably never even opened because really who has time for 1200 new things all at once? So this year I avoided that time trap, not because there were not great gifts, but because I can't do anything by halves. If I had started I would of had to start on day one, get all the gifts at all the stores, never miss a day or a gift, etc. I get obsessive... I did however do some cute hunts and my favorite were all the stores that just sent a gift directly to me and I did not even have to move! Thank you! (Oh yeah and I put the Santa hats on the animals; they don't come that way.)

A year ago I gave away 5 windlights I made and have been surprised by the amount of hits that page gets and downloads my windlights get. So I decided I would share three more new ones that I have made over the last year. Merry Christmas from Kirsten, Second Life!

TIPS: When using my windlights on a pose platform studio, your avatar needs to face EAST. After playing with shadows for a long time, I have found the prettiest ones are made when your avatar is facing east or west- something to do with the sun angles possible. If you are out at locations shooting, you will probably need to adjust the sun angle with every shoot you do because you might not be facing east or you might need to move the sun due to buildings or other sun blockers.

The first new windlight above that I am sharing is a variation to "Kirsten's Favorite Windlight." This one is called Kirsten's Favorite Windlight Location. I made the sky a pretty blue and I made the shadows darker (you do that by adjusting the contrast between the colors in the lighting tab). This way when you are out at a place in SL and your shadow is cast on the ground, you should be able to see it better with this updated windlight. This is intended for use around SL and not a studio platform (although it looks good on there too, imo). In this picture I am also showing you the direction my avatar is facing with the mini-map. The next new windlight is a big change for me. It is called Kirsten's Post-Apocalypse Grunge. This one is a grey hazy sky, not because its night, but because the sun has been blocked by all of the toxic chemicals in the air. I will show you a panoramic view and what your avatar might look like with shadows on using this windlight.

I had a hard time making it dark and grungy enough, but still light enough to show shadows and most importantly for a fashion blogger to show the clothing well. This windlight is the result of many tweaks over the last year. I hope you like it! For fashion credits, see this post.

The last new windlight is very girly. It is pink and purple and a bit hazy, dreamy ethereal. I call it Kirsten's Favorite Shadow Fantasy. It is meant for fantasy outfits and fairy wings. Here is the fantasy windlight at my home in a panoramic picture. For fashion credits, see this post.

Stroker Serpentine who pioneered sex and adult content in SL, is back. He has been away for the last year and is making a come back in a big way. Stroker's Sexpo will begin tomorrow, December 21st and last until January 15th. Stroker himself made the entire build for the Sexpo and he made it in mesh. He does not have any new toys that he is going to showcase however, but he said that he has an inventory full of animations that are just itching for mesh builds and we should start seeing new releases from him in 2014. Stroker Serpentine is back.

The Sexpo however, was envisioned to highlight all the great adult content creators in SL. You will be able to find sexy fashion, adult furniture, fantasy, and farrango at the event. The Sexpo will also have a charity auction benefitting The Children's Miracle Network where 100% of the proceeds will be donated in the name of the adult content creators of Second Life. Under the Christmas trees located in front of the 4 Expo Halls, you will find lots of free gifts. I hope to see you at the Sexpo and oh yes, clothing is optional!

Since I am a fetish fashion blogger, the fashion that can be found at the Sexpo is my focus. There are a number of great designers that I feature often in my posts like, Latex Station and Karu Karu, that you can find at the Sexpo. I am featuring LVS&CO in this post, a store that has been around since 2004- almost as long as Stroker. This lingerie set comes with a mesh underbust corset, panties, stockings, and appliers for our mesh breasts.

All my favorite hair stores seemed to have different sizes for when I wanted to wear my Lolas except for Truth. However with his latest release Truth now has two larger sizes, LoveJugs M and LoveJugs L, that will accommodate mesh boob wearers. I am super excited about that because Truth hair is some of my favorite and now no matter what I choose to wear it will fit my avatar.

I have been enjoying the couple poses that have been released from RACK poses lately. This pose above is newly released at the Poser Pavilion and will be there until January 10th. I had a very hard time finding a cityscape that would allow build. That is a requirement when we want to shoot cute couple pictures like this one. You have to be able to rez the pose balls, at least for a short time period. So thank you Electra Shopping District for allowing build on your land! Beautiful sims of SL, please consider turning build On and auto return on after a short period of time (like 30 seconds would even work!) so that we can rez couple poses and pose stands. When bloggers use your sims in our post and then include the picture place and slurl, that promotes your sim! Hiram was such a good sport. I have been running him around as I shop for Christmas presents in a Kirsten whirlwind fashion. Only 8 more days til Christmas!

DE Designs has recently released this mesh sweater in a variety of colors and cargo pants for men. I really love the mesh build of both items. The sweater has nice arm size and broad shoulders. I am kind of tired of all the mesh clothing making guys look like they would pass out lifting a pencil and it would hurt to sit down cause they have zero padding! I need guns, broad shoulders, and something to grab! The pants have a nice round shaped bottom, YAY. These are manly man nice clothes and they are very Kirsten approved. When I walked into collabor88 December, the first thing I saw was a dress called, "Fluffy Girly Dress." It might as well of been called the Kirsten dress! Fashionably dead made this dress for this round. I bet you are surprised I did not get it in pink. I really loved the muted pastel peachy undertone one, cream. The jacket is made to layer with the fluffy girly dress. It is a classic short cropped fitted jacket available in a variety of neutral shades. My dress is brand new today from katat0nik for collabor88. It just screams holiday and Christmas! Love! There are also coordinating boots for even more cuteness.

I always have fun with Hiram. It does not really matter what we do. I am always happy just to be with him. We both really love Gachas and Arcade and had so much fun this round. I am still opening all my stuff, lol. This picture spread highlights our Remarkable Oblivion rare hats, my Curio Obscura coat, Hiram's Dynasty rare shirt, and our Secret Store ice skates. I had the picture above in my head and Hiram found the perfect pose as a dollarbie on marketplace from G'Secret so I could get it from my head onto this page. I have a bunch of Arcade things for sale at the Juicy yard sale too, even a few rares.

I also thought this picture spread would be great to participate in this weeks Strawberry meme: Winter Season. I am at my friend Lolita's house. Thank you Lolita for letting me use your beautiful home! So here goes.

1) What is the December/ Winter season like where you live? Like Strawberry, I live in Florida so we don't really have a winter. I do live in Northern Florida though so it does get cold although its been about 75 the last few days. We get a few cold weeks here and there and a few cold days. It never snows which might be why I love it in SL so much. I think its pretty but that's probably because I do not have to shovel it!

2) When you think of winter, what is the first thing that pops into your head? Winter break, lol. I get two weeks off every year and I really look forward to that time off from work.

3) Have you ever played any extreme winter sports? Well I have never really traveled anywhere and there are not a lot of winter sports, extreme, or otherwise in Florida.

4) What do you like most about this season? Christmas and Christmas decorations! I love driving around and seeing pretty lights and all the decorations. That answers #5 too. I celebrate Christmas!
