It has been a year since the first Women's March, January 21, 2017. I blogged that HERE. Wow, what a difference a year makes. It might just be me, but this year marks the most dynamic climate shift for women's rights that I have ever seen in my lifetime at least. This weekend women will be marching again. What do we march for? Equality for women, equal wages, protesting sexual assault, and a host of other things. I think every woman has her own thoughts about why she marches or supports the marches. I am not close enough to a march site and I know many others that might live in rural areas, etc also can't participate. So, as I do, I wanted to show my support in SL and I got some friends to join me!

The friends that helped me take my picture today are (left to right), Halfwraith Caerndow, Saffron Foxclaw, Gypsy Mactavish, ME, Dani Graphelle, Asthenia Pinazzo, Rhaenys Targaryen, and Starr Ghost. I will link their blogs below so you can check them all out as well. Thank you all so much!!!

One of my favorite SL artist, Whiskey Monday, marched today with her mother and daughter in RL. She also marched last year. She had this to say about the march today, "Today's Women's March was even more inspiring and moving than last year. I was in a smaller crowd in a smaller town, but it didn't matter. People were fired up with a purpose I didn't see last year. Women are running for office. Women are telling their stories. Women are claiming their space. I'm honored to have been a part."- Whiskey Monday.

I think that is what I meant. The difference from last year to this year is purpose. I was just mad in general last year and you can see that in my post and the reason I said I marched in SL. This year I am resolved. I am excited about men being held accountable for their actions and seeing real change as they are fired from high profile positions for sexual misconduct. It is about time. I named this post #metoo. I did that because I was sexually assaulted by a Pastor in our church when I was a child. It does not matter how young, you are going to negatively affect that child and she will remember. I personally did not remember until I was older. I started having vivid dreams in college and they were so disturbing. I called my mom and simply asked her if anything happened to me when I was younger. She started crying and so did I and then it all came back to me. I remembered. I have also had my share of uncomfortable situations where I am trying to politely say, I am not into this, and the guy was not listening to me at all. I was never raped as a young adult, but I was definitely touched and groped when I was not wanting to be. I am still coming to terms with that because until recently I just thought that was how some guys were and they did eventually take No for an answer, so surely not sexual assault, right? Now my mind is changing. #metoo

Now for SL fashion. I love my shirt! I love the double message and I think its perfect for today! It is new by MAddict at the current round of 4Mesh. My shoes are also new by Livalle at the current round of faMESHed. Look at the materials and how they shine. The texture is just amazing! I am not sure what the other girls are wearing. Ok, in my defense, I have been a messy painter all my life. I did a butterfly garden mural in my daughter's room when she was little and I am pretty sure I got more paint on the floor and on me than the wall. So when I saw this Sweet Evil pose prop/tattoo set at the current round of 4Mesh- it spoke to me, and I decided I needed a mural in my girly art room. Neve released the Prove lingerie which is daringly transparent although you can wear an opaque "modest" version that is also included and changed via HUD. My gorgeous, short curly hair is new by Wasabi and I love these tousled curls. Neve released these sexy, perfect for your boudoir, shoes with a bit of a pom pom fur on the toe and heel. My pretty new eyes were just released today at The Chapter Four by Arte. The Toda eyes come with browns, hazel, green (shown), and blue. This is a great variety pack of eyes with some strong bold, dark colors for your Catwa eyes.

I have been busily decorating our new house and this is my new bedroom. I love this Di'Cor bedroom set. It is luxurious and beautiful.

Uber is off the chain this round! So much pretty packed into one event. My Wasabi hair and Reign boots can both be found at the event. I am in love with these boots and the add on texture HUD (sold seperately) to add textures to the turned down part just adds the cutest touch. You need all the things, so get over to Uber. My bracelet is also a new favorite. Cae released it at Cosmopolitan. You can change the letters. I made mine say "K <3 H" and of course it means Kirsten loves Hiram.

I am wearing some new gorgeous things today. Arte has released two new sets of eyelashes, one at Whimsical and one at Cosmopolitan. I am wearing one of the ones in the Alta set at Cosmopolitan. I am always looking for pretty eyelashes and both of these sets are great. I will show a picture of the set and all the variations later in this post. Doe just released my piggy tail hair at the current round of Kawaii Project. I recently blogged this new skin, League Sadie, and today I am wearing a new set of Catwa lipglosses that were just released by League. I can't even describe how many gorgeous, glossy colors are in this set. My shirt is part of a new original mesh fantasy outfit by Wicca's Wardrobe that is at 4Mesh. It also has a coordinating skirt that comes with it and both pieces are multi-texture change and sold fatpack style. The main part and ruffles change textures independently. Finally, Cae just released a new jewelry set at District 20 which is a new event with a lot of really unique ideas.

4Mesh started two days ago and this event is packed with so much pretty! I am wearing 11 exclusives at the event: an Alaska Metro skin, IT eyeshadow, Shiny Stuffs lipstick and eyelashes, Dark Passions polish, Codex bento gloves, elise rings (left), Undertied rings (left pinky and ring), Slipper rings (right), Bubble dermal piercings, Aseriz earrings, and a Lakshmi dress.

The rings are all fitmesh to Maitreya hands (elise is also fitmesh to Vista and Slipper is fitmesh to Slink hands also). The Codex dermal piercings are fitmesh to the Maitreya, Slink (X2), and Belleza (X3) bodies. I have never really been big into piercings in SL, but a lot of that was because you had to fit the darn things and sometimes you had to fit the piercing and the shadow by editing the linked parts and it was often a lot more trouble than it was worth. These just fit perfectly (because fitmesh), move with you perfectly, and I have to say that I really am loving the cute heart design. I am really impressed with this Alaska Metro skin too. She has made lighter colors and I really like the new tones. Get it all at the current round of 4Mesh before December 11th.

Welcome to my SL bedroom. The actual one that I live in, not one that I staged for a picture, but the one inside my house. I really have not shown my house much even though I have lived here for the past six months or so and I am actually ready to pick it and start on my Fall/Winter home. I really meant to show you guys this house... maybe before I pick it up, lol. So today I am opening up shoe boxes!! Shoetopia opens tomorrow, September 25th, at 3:00 PM (SL time) and you are going to want to go because the shoes are amazing and did I mention SHOES!! My Safira outfit, WetCat Pose Prop, Merlific nails, Elise rings, and Zibska makeup are all at the new event 4Mesh. I am not exactly sure what fantasy character I am in this scene, but it looks pretty cool! I was going for some sort of dream like scene. I have spent almost 11 years (next week) in SL and I have never really gotten into actual Roleplay, although I love dressing up in the outfits and goofing off. Fantasy outfits are always so much fun to dress up in.

I am excited to see an updated fitmesh costume like this made for Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, and Tonic. Halloween is right around the corner and this would be a great choice! This outfit is also scripted to "strip" by you or anyone that you give permission. You or someone you love can just click to undress this naughty French Maid costume, fun!

Kinky Monthly always has some great fetish wear items. This round has a gacha machine by Luas (only for Maitreya) called Latex Addiction. I managed to pull the RARE black set with only a few pulls, woohoo.

4Mesh just opened and I am really excited about this new event. It will be replacing Mesh Body Addicts, but it's not just a new name. 4Mesh is a completely new event. It will start on the 12th every other month and run til the end of the month. It features 4 distinct rooms of themed items: Fashion, Roleplay, Bento, and Skin/Body. Basically everything that I am wearing and using is from the event. I am featuring 9 items from: Codex, Scandalize, United Colors, KC Couture, Image Essentials, 7 Deadly Skins, Alaskametro, Carol G, and Dark Passions. You have until September 30th to check out the new event 4Mesh.
