It is prom time in RL. Girls all over are finding their formal wear for this special night. I used to go to a prom inside SL back when Harlow owned the coffee bean. I don't think those are happening anymore and I totally miss them. If I was going to prom inside SL, I would look no further than Just Because. They have so many gorgeous fitmesh gowns and they have just released two new ones this month. The satiny one on the left was just released at faMESHed and the velvet one on the right was just released at faMESHed Go. faMESHed Go is a new event with 20 designers. This is a main store HUD based shopping experience. I love that it is bringing people back to main stores! You can find the HUD on the marketplace, faMESHed update group or subscriber group, any participating designer group, or the faMESHed Go in world location. There are 10 white dots on the HUD and if you make a purchase at 10 out of the 20 participating stores, then you get limited, exclusive prizes. Collabor88's theme this month is Whispers in the Dark and there are lots of things that go with that mood. However, I am super glad a few of the designers (dust bunny and vespertine) were focused on the fact that November contains Thanksgiving and provided us with yummy food for the occasion. My family and I are going to celebrate Thanksgiving in SL next Monday. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in SL? If you do, please let me know how and what your traditions are in the comments because I have not celebrated this holiday online very often and need some ideas. I mean how much time can fake food eating take?

Reign is at Collabor 88 this month with the Foxperry jumpsuit and Katy heels fatpacks (on left). Complete fatpacks of both of these items are available at the event. Blueberry has the Star Tied back top (on right) available and the back of this top is really cool. It also has ties going up the arms too.

It is time for another fabulous round of Mesh Body Addicts! On my Slink Physique I am wearing two new items that will be released May 10th for this round of MBA. My insanya tiny front tied top and Sorbet scalloped shorts are both new original fitmesh items exclusively for the event. Sorbet is a new-to-me store but the fabulous blogger Xanthe of Xantheanne's 2nd life is behind the brand and I know she knows her fashion! I am a big fan of her blog, windlights, and thankful for her many tutorials so it is cool to me to blog her items! I have a few items from faMESHed too. Just Because released this stunning two piece lace overlay gown at faMESHed. I fell instantly in love with the white version. Something about white lace makes me happy! NanTra is at Gacha Garden with the Let's Go Crazy pose pack which is a Prince tribute. This set is a very eclectic mix: guitar poses, bathtub poses, and this dove pose.

I am wearing a new mesh head, Catwa Candy. This is a basic head (not premium) so you can get it (without any options or add-ons) fairly inexpensively. All the new basic, lower cost heads at Catwa are making it fun to play and switch it up. I really liked the new the skinnery skin, Daria, at The Chapter Four on this new Candy head. The chapter four is celebrating its third anniversary and there are a ton of FREE gifts that you can pick up like this lipstick I am wearing.

Catwa just updated her heads to version 4.9 and the alpha glitch is fixed! I want to know what kind of sorcery this is because I honestly thought fixing that was impossible. We have been plauged by the limitations of the alpha flicker inside SL forever from dance floors/gowns to hair/trees. So Catwa Clip somehow waved her magic wand and fixed something on her heads that I thought was absolutely impossible! I can now wear eyeshadow AND eyelashes while in ultra graphics with shadows on and it looks amazing! You used to have to pick because either your eyelashes looked like spiders or the eyeshadow was invisible or all hard and jagged (if you hit blend mode). You could not wear both at the same time.

I went on a eyeshadow shopping spree! I bought Slackgirl, Shakeup, Veechi, and alaskametro eyeshadow. You can wear eyeshadow specifically made for Catwa or any Omega applier eyeshadow as well since Catwa is Omega compatible. If you have a favorite eyeshadow brand not listed, please let me know in the comments. I also had fun playing with the eye makeup included in skin appliers that I could never wear before as well. I decided to make a video showing the alpha glitch before and after as well as all my new makeup purchases. I hope you enjoy watching!

Have an opinion on what you like? Good I hope you will participate in the polls in this blog post and let me know what you think. Nobody is more surprised than I am that I have not really taken off my mesh head since I bought it. First of all I did not think I would ever find one that I liked enough to even buy it, let alone for it to take over my avatar and actually be my preference. I thought that if I ever did buy one it would be used for the occasional emotion picture. I did not plan on falling in love with a mesh head- but that is exactly what happened with Catwa Jessica.

I thought I would do a post comparing the shape I have used and loved for 9 years and thought nothing could ever replace, and my mesh head. I also will be showing 5 different skins on this mesh head to show the variety skin appliers provide. Finally, I will be asking you to participate in polls to tell me 1) Catwa Head or Kirsten's Shape, and 2) What skin applier do you like best on my Catwa head? The polls are just for fun because I have pretty much decided that this head is for me and don't plan on taking it off anytime soon!

I still find my default avatar pretty, but I just prefer my mesh head. I also do not miss all the editing time that I had to spend on my default avatar in the above pictures. I smoothed out the nose, around the mouth, and the chin. I did not have to touch up the face on the Catwa head. What do you guys think?

There is a new original mesh fashion store, Azuchi. They have been making some great fantasy items at various events like We <3 Roleplay and more traditional items at shiny shabby. More recently they have this new dress, Cate, out at the current round of uber. This dress comes in fitmesh for Slink and Maitreya. The textures are materials enabled and I tried my best to capture that in my picture, but I don't think I can do the texture justice. You really have to see it up close when you are moving and lights are reflecting on it to really get the full effect. Also in order to wear my curvier shape with my larger boobs, I had to separate them and move them apart so the top did not push together and distort. So if you are having that problem, you can either wear normal sized boobs or adjust the separate/join slider in your shape.

I am continuing to play with and collect skin appliers for my new Catwa mesh head. Today I am wearing a new skin from The Skinnery. Although pretty, I have never liked those skins on my regular avatar face. I have decided I like everything on my Catwa head, lol, maybe just because I adore the head so much. Whatever the case, I think this skin is adorable on my head and I am really enjoying trying new skins.
