Materials Ready, Zaara

Before I start, I made this picture in photoshop. I made my skin purple to make the bikini pop. The only thing in the picture that you can buy (as it is) is the bikini, the rest is photoshop magic. This new bikini from Zaara is materials viewer ready so the sequins reflect light like real sequins do. They also appear raised and not flat-  from texture alone and not adding a bunch of faces in a 3D program.

I spent a lot of time, all day really, playing with materials and advanced lighting. I think its pretty impossible to really capture what happens when a materials enabled texture is in the game. It is best seen with moving lights because you can see them reflect along the surface of the material. It is hard to fully capture that in a still photograph. My background texture is also a materials ready texture and without advanced lighting turned on it just looks like a plain flat white prim. You can see more of all of that (including how the skin, eyes, and hair really look) in this video that I made.

Feet: Slink Mesh Feet (Av) Flat
Hair: TRUTH HAIR Storm - LightBlondes03
Bikini: Zaara : [Mesh] Naisha Bikini  *silver* *NEW RELEASE MATERIALS READY*
Skin: Glam Affair - Cleo - Jamaica - Clean A
Eyes: IKON Vanity Eyes - Azure
House: Trompe Loeil - Rustic Cabin + Materials Version [mesh]
Wallpaper Texture: Modular Material - TriTile

You can find the wallpaper on marketplace and I am embedding the video the texture maker made as well.

    1. HI Talia, I use the regular second life viewer. I have advanced lighting enabled in my preferences and I run with ultra graphics. You also need a light source in the game because materials ready textures interact with light in the game just as items, like sequins, interact with lights in real life. The sun in the game (so being outside) works well. But you can also see the materials effects with lights in the game. So if you are inside a house with no lighting, your items will look flat and not shine. You need a materials viewer, you need advanced lighting (with sun and projectors) turned on in preferences, ultra graphics helps it look much better, and you need a light source in the game. Hope that helps!
